BPG 6559 Successful API 622 Rev. 2 Test
BPG 6559 was recently tested by Yarmouth Laboratories in the USA according to API 622 Rev.2. The packing showed the best leakage results for any packing material during this stringent emisson test. The average methane leakage during the test was 1 ppm despite 5 temperature cycles. The packing also did not have to be retightended during the test. This versatile packing can be used for all valve repairs also at higher pressures without end rings due to a good Inconel wire reinforcement.
